For the purpose of this assignment, you must read the sections titled Preamble, Purposes of NASW Code of ethics, and Ethical Principles.
Format your paper using APA standard, and a minimum length of 2-3 pages. Answers can be completed using bullet/numbered format.
After reading these sections answer the following questions:
1. What is the intended use of Code of Ethics? In your opinion, why do social workers need a code of ethics?
2. Quote the primary mission of the social work profession as stated in the Code of Ethics.
3. The code states: "A historic and defining feature of social work is the profession's focus on individual well-being in a social context and the well-being of society." Use your own words to describe what the underlined statements mean and how this focus describes what social workers do.
4. Write each of the 6 core values and each of 6 ethical principles. Then write what each of these ethical principles means in your own words.
